Bull****. Ricky was buckled and hurt much worse in the 8th and came back in the 9th to have his best round. He might have been knocked down without the extra time, but not out.

There was a ****load of home field advantage and it definitely soured Hatton's victory but.. Hatton beat Lazcanzo very soundly.. And short of Hatton dropping dead after getting dropped.. Lazcanzo would have lost even if he did manage a KD of Hatton. If you can manage to overlook all the smoke in mirrors you'll notice how winded Lazcanzo was in the later rounds. IN the end Hatton treated Lazcanzo like a tuneup and payed the price.. but.. the better man won by a landslide.

Hatton got stunned by the left hook and held on, A few seconds later he looked fine and that was when Lazcano held and hit hatton with two body shots. the ref warned him about those as they are illegal, Then Hatton got his lace tied. He did not get saved.

The lace tie was Dirty and the Ref was obviously prepped for "dirty," but.. ultimately it was not needed. I do wish Hatton didn't guarantee his win with suspect tactics.

Without the break I think that Hatton would've just kept holding until his head cleared up.

He did seem pretty hurt though, it was the exact same punch the Mayweather caught him with. Some people never learn...

In the 10th round, the ref stopped it 20-25 seconds after Hatton was hit by those lefts, and Ricky was perfectly okay. You can see it here, in this video of rounds 9 and 10 (the controversial part begins at 5:20 or so):

Those Versus commentators did a poor job - these British commentators are MUCH better!

I think he was hurt by that punch, his legs did buckle... but he wouldn't have been knocked out.

No. Not at all. He was stunned but came back to wallop lazcano for the rest of both the 8th and the 10th rounds if I remember right.

Lazcano took a beating for 34 out of 36 minutes.

I said myself that I was full of ****.

Somehow, I imagined the talk was about Hatton-Mayweather again.

                    Forgot that Hatton fought Lazcano.

Wow, that was exactly the same punch in exactly the same position as in the Mayweather fight. That's quite frankly a disgrace that Hatton should get caught with that again. He needs better defence.
