Pavlik has only had 1 defense and it was mandatory because of the contract, And the second one is gonna be a mandotory im sure he will fight high quality opposition as soon as he get the chance

The only chance Lockett has is landing a bomb that really unsettles Pavlik. I doubt he'll ever get that much of a chance, because Kelly is going to blow him away. All that said, I'm tempted to bet a small amount of cash on Lockett to win by KO/TKO just because the odds are so tempting.

After watching a couple of his fights, i gotta say he much more then a punchers chance. i still make Pavlik a very big favorite, but he could very well be in a big struggle in the early rounds.

I think this fight plays out almost exactly like the ZERTUCHE-PAVLIK fight. ZETUCHE may be a bit stronger then Lockett though.

But if you'll remember, Round 3 of ZERTUCHE-PAVLIK, which was a round of the year candidate, saw Pavlik a little stunned. Lcokett could hurt Pavlik as well. No doubt about it.

But just like in the ZERTUCHE fight, Pavlik will break Lockett down after 3 or 4 rounds and then, unfortunetly for Locket cause i really startin to like the guy, he should get brutally KO'd after being worn down badly
You're either trying to justify Pavlik's inevitable victory or do some early damage control if Pavlik loses. Both fail miserably. Lockett is a nobody no matter how you try to spin it and if he even does remotely well, then Pavlik deserves to be criticized.

KBall you're full of ****. First you overrate Lazcano to make Hatton's victory over him seem bigger, now you're saying we are underestimating Lockett so that when Pavlik KOs him you can big up that victory too.

sad to say anyone has a chance against pavlik, i'm not talking trash about pavlik or lockett, but, pavlik is easy to hit, and you know where he's coming from and what he's going to do, whether or not someone can handle it or put pavlik away after having him hurt is another story all together, but that is what makes pavlik such an exciting fighter, just like trinidad or cotto or any fighter who gets dropped and pops back up to win. it's what we all love to see in a fight or a fighter, is that there is always a possiblity of them losing, what makes it better is that they don'tm lose or if they do lose it's good enough for a rematch.......which is why guys like mayweather don't get the same kind of attention and don't have that kind of mystique about them, because they always play it safe and don't get the fans any excitment or drama, certainly not the dollar value of the ticket or the ppv in about 98.99% of the time..................

lockett and pavlik should be a good fight while it lasts, i think that enzo calzaghe is really spurred to have his fighter win, he either does, or he goes out in the blaze of glory. so far its been a bad year for enzo, minus he's son's win, which is debatable in some regards...........
i expect pavlik to win and i'm guessing it by 9th round tko........
