He keeps his hands up really high, has pretty good hand speed, he can crack, and he has a lot of heart with a solid chin

After watching a couple of his fights, i gotta say he much more then a punchers chance. i still make Pavlik a very big favorite, but he could very well be in a big struggle in the early rounds.

I think this fight plays out almost exactly like the ZERTUCHE-PAVLIK fight. ZETUCHE may be a bit stronger then Lockett though.

But if you'll remember, Round 3 of ZERTUCHE-PAVLIK, which was a round of the year candidate, saw Pavlik a little stunned. Lcokett could hurt Pavlik as well. No doubt about it.

But just like in the ZERTUCHE fight, Pavlik will break Lockett down after 3 or 4 rounds and then, unfortunetly for Locket cause i really startin to like the guy, he should get brutally KO'd after being worn down badly

Pavlik should walk thru this guy from what I have seen from him.

pavlik is fighting calzaghe-esque opponents during his title reign. just had to say it to be fair although lockett and rubio are far better than kabery salem and juan carlos jiminez ferrari. don't turn into calzaghe kelly!

Agree 100%. On top of that, if he does fight Rubio in Sept in will be only 3.5 months in between fights and he could still make an Abraham fight for the end of the year.
