just watched the fight and the referreeing was very biased towards Hatton. Many many times Hatton seemed to dictate when the two fighters would be broken by eye contact with the referee. When Hatton was hurt bath times the referee made it a point to give lengthy warnings. The 2nd time he seperated the fighters very quickly and although it was within the rules to have his shoelaces tied that break was initiated to the advantage of Hatton. It was obvious the ref was biased towards Hatton not that that would have changed the end result.
Agree with the above post , Hatton was always going to win this fight from the moment his team picked Lazcano the script said Rick wins , the only way Juan could have won this fight is with one Sunday punch , Ricky won and is the better fighter no doubts ,,,,, now on saying that the ref was in Hattons pocket and was part of that script as a guarantee , blind Fredy could see that .
The biggest miss justice here is the ****ing whining poms that bag Cortez and prop Foster ,, Foster interfered in the fight more than Cortez count them , he had winkys going on with Hatton all night and Juan was cautioned all night , if Ricky had of had Mayweather hurt like Juan had Hatton and Cortez did the same as Foster you poms would be crying all over the board for the next 20 yrs ,,,,,, so whats the real difference ,,,, ****ing Hatton won here and lost there , thats what the difference is , you guys are whining whinging sore losers and whining hypocritical winners , I have no respect for a lot of guys on this board even though I know most are very young because they are bull****ters , they are inconsistent and full of double standards , they cant be objective as all they are on or care about is their fav fighter is the best and yours is **** , what a ****ing joke .
Has anyone got any decent footage yet??
I wanna second look.
I saw a rebroadcast of the fight.
- Hatton was stunned worse in round 8 than 10, there was no stoppage, he came back to really dominate round 9
- In round 10, he had completely recovered by the time the referee stopped the action (10-12 seconds later) after Lazcano had pulled him down and hit him in the back.
- Hatton was fine when he requested time to tie his shoelaces. It was not because he needed to recover, he really needed to tie his laces! lol
- The Versus commentators were very misleading at this time, Charles especially seemed to dislike Hatton
man what u suposed to do fight on with your shoe laces hanging out ,hell referees stop fights when the gumshield comes out FFS let alone untied shoe laces

The shoelace is not the main issue for me , the very fact that Ricky was the one who noticed it says he was alright and recovered fully from being hurt , the biggest thing here is why did the ref stop the action at a crucial time and send Hatton to the corner and start cautioning Juan ,, the shoelace is secondary and just adds fuel to the fire , why was Hatton sent to the corner , the ref had not seen the shoelace untill Hatton started waving his foot .

Hatton was warned for various things in about four different rounds. Lazcano was warned for holding in the 6th and in the 9th as well as in the 10th. On several other occasions both guys were warned. Interstngly after Hatton gets nailed in the tenth by four left hooks in a row he then rushes Juan into the corner. Lazcano proceeds to throw the Golota special: three quick uppercuts right in the cherries and it was following this that Hatton got dragged across the ring and pushed to the floor.

because Lazcano rammed Hattons head down & he had consistently done that throughout the fight

I don't think Hatton noticed it until he went to the neutral corner.

Could have said a verbal , very appropriate and one might say convenient to stop the fight at that particulat point and send Hatton to a corner wasnt it ,, you guys are unbelievable in your objectivity .
