Cotto will still be my favorite fighter, even if he was to lose, just like Jermain Taylor and Judah are still two of my favorite fighters even though they have lost their last fights.

This must have been like what Tyson was talking about. Most fans will love you when you win & ko fighters, but they will forget about you in an instance when you lose. - Thats not always true, but I think we may see some cotto fans hope off if he was to lose. Margarito's losses include 3 I think that he had when he was still a teenager or anyway very young, and the loss to Santos, although I agree with it, could EASILY have gone either way. He has beaten good welters, and IMO would have beaten anyone that Cotto has so far, though I haven't yet seen the Williams fight so i don't know how he looked in that.

Margarito got his fight game going late in the Williams fight
In the second half of that fight Margarito almost knocked that freak out.
Since that loss Margarito said he will start fast and strong from the opening bell.
Looking at the fights with Golden Johnson and Cintron I dont think he will ever let that happen again.
