Only in Briton could you sell a fighter as limited as Hatton that big , the yanks dont buy bull**** so easily .
Alot of it has to do with the fact that time and again we have a top flight fighter, and if they arent american born, you get someone out of mexico, puerto rico, or someone like pacman all at the same time. americans are spoiled enough to have top fighters fighting every month from all kinds of ethnicities, i dont think its the same in england, thus someone like hatton only comes around so often.
No, there's lots of good fighters in Britain: Haye, Calzaghe, Hatton, Froch, Arthur, Witter etc.
Thats 6 people, now name all of the top flight mexicans, filipinos, Puerto ricans and americans who fight in the united states and you see why we dont pack houses like they do in england, now also factor in boxing is like the 6th biggest sport here.

Boxing is not the 6th biggest sport in America...its not even Top 10
****in right, they're easily ****** in? Or they have all that damn money cause of their currency to throw away.
The English are just more passionate when it comes to sports. Thousands of English people spend their time and money watching football teams that are not in the top 50 in the country (nevermind the world) play every week, even in places hundreds of miles away. Compared to that, paying out to see Hatton fight in his hometown, in his first fight in the UK since 2005, is nothing, even if the opposition wasn't great.
Having said that, no British fighter would take as many fans over to Vegas as Hatton did. The guy has worked very hard at building up a following, becoming well known and being seen as a nice guy. People like Witter, Woods and Gavin Rees don't even come close.
