He was hurt to the point where Lazcano could have done a substantial amount of damage with a few more punches in succession. Ricky was having trouble defending himself against punches in that period where Lazcano landed the good left hooks. A few more punches could have had him in even worse shape.

Lazcano could not have thrown any more significant punches anyway because he was ruined but there is no reason to suspect the Hatton was on the brink of being stopped.

The 9 people that voted no are just in denial. Hatton was clearly staggered and was holding on for dear life. If the referee did not pull them apart, then you could make a case for Hatton being stopped again. Although, I'm not suprised at a biased referree for Hatton, Tsyzu went through the same thing in England.

Yes but the debate is about how hurt he was. The suggestion is that he was on the verge of going down or being stopped which is wrong in my opinion.
