possibly, but the fight was turning before Hopkins faded, and IMO was down to calzaghe settling down and adjusting. Even though it was a sloppy scrappy fight I think calzaghe deserves credit for that. Wright and Tarver couldn't tire Hopkins out, and Hopkins was v strong in the 2nd half of the 1st taylor fight at 40 years old.
I take your point though and I think it's one of those inponderables. Given they did fight we'll have to leave it at that, even though it isn't 100% satisfactory.Comment

Which is why I hate for these fights to happen past their time. They leave us with more questions than answers.
