    I had it 8-4 or 7-5 Calzaghe. Add in the two point round for BHop, and he could maybe get the draw. But the right answer is the Calzaghe close decision.

    A younger Hopkins wouldn't have faded, or had to fight so conservatively when he was clearly hurting Cal with right hands.
    Saying that tho a young Joe could punch a lot harder.

      possibly, but the fight was turning before Hopkins faded, and IMO was down to calzaghe settling down and adjusting. Even though it was a sloppy scrappy fight I think calzaghe deserves credit for that. Wright and Tarver couldn't tire Hopkins out, and Hopkins was v strong in the 2nd half of the 1st taylor fight at 40 years old.

      I take your point though and I think it's one of those inponderables. Given they did fight we'll have to leave it at that, even though it isn't 100% satisfactory.

        Which is why I hate for these fights to happen past their time. They leave us with more questions than answers. The SRL-TH rematch is an example.

        Cal-RJJ will only spur endless debate.
