Check the IBO statistics for who has defeated the most "top 50" ranked opponents. Here it is:

Roy Jones Jr has defeated 34 "top 50" opponents, the most of any active fighter.
Every single RJJ fan falls back on those two fights.

1.) Hopkins was nowhere near the fighter he became
2.) Toney was severely weight drained. Not Roy's fault but it still made the fight easier.

its not roys fault toney was weight drained, he would have won anyways. he was beating the **** out of toney. hopkins was a better more active fighter than he is now.

Spot on. You're being too rational as of late, Diego.

Mayweather has show his ability to both adapt, box, and dominate at different times during his career and during a fight. RJJ obviously is more exciting, fan friendly, etc... but I think when Mayweather is on he is simply too accurate and slick to be dealt with.

I think it's easier to imagine someone beating Floyd from 130-147 (Duran or Mosley or Whitaker at 135, Willie Pep at 130, Aaron Pryor or Kostya Tszyu at 140, Thomas Hearns or SRL at 147, etc.) than someone beating Roy from 160-175.

That has more to do with the level of competition at said weights that it does about Mayweather.

Maybe, but if Roy were magically shrunk down to those weights, he would be ever faster, still hard to imagine even those guys beating him.
