Hopkins wasn't shot. He has the body of a 26 year old. That was posted here on NSB before the fight remember? A lot of ppl agreed to that statement.

Give Calzaghe credit when credit's due. Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins was all good wins.

Lockett and Rubio are Pavlik's mandatories, he will be stripped of his titles if he dosen't fight them.

Hopefully we can see a Pavlik/Calzaghe superfight sometime in 2009.

Who cares what his body looks like? Mike Tyson was past his prime at 21. I judge it by how he FIGHTS and what I see in the ring. Age caught up to hops.

But for this guy to be calling Pavlik a *****, when his boy has made a career out of duck and dodging people and now calling out their corpses, is a little bit silly.

Wanna know what I think? I think that it doesn't matter who Calzaghe defeats you just don't wanna acknowledge.

Maybe you dislike his style? I don't think it's pretty either but one cannot argue it's effectiveness.

I agree with you that he should've stepped the level of opposition up a lot earlier and JoeC must take some of the blame for not getting the fights. But I feel some posters, you included, should give him some more credit.

I would prefer that Joe fight Dawson, Jones or Tarver instead of Pavlik.

He would receive absolutely no credit for defeating Kelly, the critics would just say Pavlik was no good.

Dawson would be the best opponent for Joe's legacy, although the critics would come down on Chad like they did to Lacy and practically ruin his life.

If Joe fights Jones and wins, they'll say Roy is a shot fighter. The same is true if Joe defeats Tarver.
