No Pavlik for Calzaghe?

I've read 2 seperate reports on the internet that Kelly Pavlik plans a defense for his middleweight title at september 29. Likely opponent is Marco Antonio Rubio.

Of course it depends on a win against Gary Lockett on June 7.

So at the moment it appears as if Calzaghe wont get Pavlik.

Well I doubt Pavlik will be Calzaghe's next fight anyway, if it happens, it will be after RJJ as Pavlik will need longer to prepare as he'd also need to move up in weight. Plus RJJ seems to have no intention of taking a tune-up fight and with time working against him, I think that fight would have to happen this year.

Calzaghe says he wants some time off so yea. I guess they will continue to follow the plan that they have had all along.

Which includes a fight agaisnt LOCKETT, then RUBIO in SEPT, then ABRAHAM in DEC/JAN, and then CALZAGHE probably for the summer
