    Is Miranda Overrated or Underrated?

Is Miranda Overrated or Underrated or somewhere in between? Are you undecided or do you need to see more of him? A lot of people see his power and say he can't do anything else.. Personally I don't believe he is the juggernaut super puncher people act like he is but I also don't agree he is as poor a boxer defender as many people say he is.. Now I know Pantera2K is gonna sing his praises and the Abraham fans are gonna dump on him.. but plse share.

Somewhere in between it seems. People either think he's very good or people think he's a bum. So there is a bit of a balance which means he isn't really overrated or underrated.

I'm a big fan of Miranda. I don't think he's that skilled of a fighter, I don't think he's elite, but he does have a lot of power, has a decent chin and he can beat most competition. Mainly I just like Miranda the PERSON and enjoy watching his fights which are always entertaining imo.

      Depends how you rate him.

I personally think he is a good fighter but nothing special. I'd say he is generally overrated.

exactly, he gives fans what they want to see.. yet somehow there are still a bunch of people who don't like him. I even appreciate his trash talking. He knows how to entertain a little outside of the ring. If more guys were like Miranda there would be a lot more good fights.

He was overrated until he lost to Pavlik. Now I don't believe he is either.

I think Many underestimate him and consider him a crude brawler. He actually has many things going for him.

His speed is actually faster than people give him credit for.
His Reach is longer than anyone else at 168.
His Power might be somewhat over rated, but it is very real.
He has a ****load of determination.
            Has basic fundamental boxing skills.

Guys that try to box him will always gave trouble. His right hand is a long one and can catch guys trying to jab him(see Allan Green). Pavlik did the right thing taking it to him. Smothered his power.

I agree. People (especially on this site) get to wrapped up with the idea that if someone isn't the best, or has been beaten before, they suck and feel the need to insult them. Well, if that's the case then people like Chico Corrales, who certainly wasn't the best, shouldn't be loved. Boxing IS entertainment, people tend to forget that. That's why we love the Chico's, the Gatti's, etc. etc. etc. etc.

Does he have to be either, or can he just be who he is, which is an exciting fighter with a growing cult following with known and exploited flaws?

He is who he is, nothing more and nothing less.

I think too many people lost faith in him do to the ass beating he took to Pavlik. The weight/drained/ill excuse is hard for most to swallow. He has a lot to prove. I tell you what, he takes out Abraham on June 21st, then he no doubt is very very underrated at this point!
