I had Cotto up very comfortably going into the latter rounds until Shane started rallying and Cotto got on his bike. I think Cotto played a dangerous game giving all those rounds away because if Shane won the 12th, I would have scored it a draw. Cotto deserved decision, however, because of how he stood up to Shane's best punches during the first half of the fight and dished out substantially more effective shots.
Cotto CLEARLY beat Sugar!!!

You're a fool. The exact same fights are available to Mosley now that would have been had he beaten Cotto. He was fighting Judah because Judah is a name that he could beat and make money at the same time. That's why he had to stoop down and face Judah right? You really think Tony wouldn't of looked at fighting Mosley if he beat Cotto.. All I'm saying is it would have opened up a lot more possibilities.
Anyway, if you don't understand the importance of beating the number one ranked welterweight out there then you're a
now, please don't respond to my posts ever again cus I'm through talking with idiots.

Hey, are u saying Shane won the 12th?I had Cotto up very comfortably going into the latter rounds until Shane started rallying and Cotto got on his bike. Do u, and this is an open question, think Cotto lost every round that he fought off the back foot?Comment

I'm saying that if Shane won the 12th I would have scored it a draw, but Cotto clearly knew this as well and clearly beat him during that round. I had Shane winning most of the rounds Cotto was backing up because I felt that he was comfortably out-landing Cotto. Cotto wasn't elusive enough to execute his plan properly, which is why the scorecards became close even though I thought he would've have blown Shane out if he fought all 12 rounds.Comment

Really?? The 12 was 1 of the only rounds i gave Shane, and i gave him it coz Cotto took it off seemingly convinced he'd won. Not much happened but shane was pressing and he landed a right hand near the end that sealed the round for him IMOI'm saying that if Shane won the 12th I would have scored it a draw, but Cotto clearly knew this as well and clearly beat him during that round. Dude, I could have been off my rocker (like the Cotto screamers behind me) and still see that Cotto was not winning.Comment

We'll have to agree to disagree, then. I don't see how you didn't give Shane 1 of the 7-11 rounds, but I guess we saw different things. I don't mind Cotto boxing on the outside, but I don't think his defense was good enough to keep Shane from landing enough to take those rounds.Comment
