Personally I could care less, just talking about this fight in here is promotion enough to get me to watch.
As far as the business side of boxing, I think HBO decided to save some money on doing a countdown because they don't expect it will increase or make any impact on the sales.
This fight is what it is, a good fight for the boxing fan. Mainstream isn't gonna tune in for this.Comment

From Steve Kim "I was told by a rather annoyed Arum that HBO has decided for this fight there will be no countdown show, much less a 24/7. Well, I guess some fights are so good they dont need info-mercials (But the cynic in me has other theories)."
--This is some BS by HBO. This fight needs a countdown or something. I bet Money May or oSCAR talked to HBO. For once its not bob's fault.Comment

I'd say that's about as probable as the notion you just suggested.
But, on the off chance it does happen I'd say viva Boxing, as something happened to get more people involved in the sport again.Comment

but if it does that range, that means that more than hardcore boxing fans were interested in the fight. 370 is above average for fights not including DLH or Mayweather. just look at Calzaghe/Wright. ovbiously bigger figures in the boxing mainstream than cotto/margo.Comment

Addon: for the record, I wouldn't be shocked if it did 350k, but 400k I don't see happening. Pac-Morales 2 did like 360k or something, and if 2 warriors who are known for exciting fights but weren't well known in the public couldn't do 400k, no way Marg/Cotto can.Comment
