  • In order for Floyd to be the G.O.A.T he must...

fight any three of the following five...

    • Joshua Clottey
    • Antonio Margarito
    • Miguel Cotto
    • Shane Mosley
    • Carlos Quintana

Sure say what you want. Say he'd win 12 straight rounds over every one of these guys. You'll never know the outcome of a fight against serious opposition until that final bell rings. I do recall Floyd saying that Miguel Cotto is a "punching bag" and that he could finish Margarito in less than four rounds right? This is a business of put up or shut up. Actions speak louder than words. The actions of our current pound for pound champion seem more like he's interested in being a celebrity than being a fighter. If he steps in the ring with any three of these guys I'd give him a pass as being an alright dude. But all this "G.O.A.T" talk is reserved for fighters who fought everyone without excuses and talk of PPV numbers and money. Its dudes like this who are ruining the sport. My guess if Floyd had to pick three from that list is that he'd take Mosley, Quintana and Clottey because it's clear he doesn't want anything to do with Cotto or Margarito. I'm sorry but he's never been put to the test and when he was against lets say Judah for example, he wasn't having such a walk in the park of a fight. Real talk...

In addition, I'm not saying the fighters I listed are of the caliber necessarily to completely solidify G.O.A.T status. I just think we need to see him against true threats. No British midgets or fading Golden Boys.

I disagree he must fight all of them to be considered the Greatest of All time come on that title there deserves more respect than to have to just fight three he should fight them all if he wants to be considered better than Ali

You'd have to do a lot more then just fight one or two of those names to even top or come close to Ali's or Robinson's records..
