my bad, if it's because of the "then so be it but, make more money" quote, the word BUT was not supposed to be there, forgot to erase. What i'm saying is, if he wants to make more money, fine, make more money. Just fight the best out there and beat them before you self-proclaim to be the best. Don't run and hide and make excuses. That's what i'm trying to say here...

We all know that if he REALLY wanted to fight Cotto or Margarito, he wouldn't be running man, he should just stop making excuses and fight the best out there. If he finds his balls and fights these fighters and others out there and beats them, then my respects for him.

that's my point!!! he's got a chance to make 25 mil right now. who's to say he WONT fight cotto after he beats margarito? that's all i'm saying.

ppl are going crazy, talking **** on here and its nonsense. what's wrong with making 25 mil, and letting cotto and margaito beat the hell outta each other for a shot at you? what's wrong with that??????????

now, like i said, after the de la hoya fight, if he then ducks cotto and fights hatton or somebody else, then i have no problem with calling him a coward. but as of right now, no1 knows who he is going to fight next, so its ridiculous to call the man a coward!!!

if you're a real boxing fan, look forward to july 26, and worry about mayweather after that. calling him a coward is not going to make him fight cotto or margarito tho, he'll only do that if he wants to. so let's wait and see.

but damn, yall need to let this **** go! we got a fight of the year coming up, but every1 feels the need to discuss mayweather........come july 26, i wont be thinking about floyd, after july 26- we'll see. but its disrespectful to cotto and margarito to be bringing up floyd mayweather, when discussing their fight........

your post is self owning dude...

    First you say:

nobody's saying not to take the De La Hoya fight, if he wants more money then so be it but, make more money, it's not a bad thing

    Then you say:

he should just stop making excuses and fight the best out there.

    Which is it?

aiight, enuff with this nonsense!!!! floyd is not ducking anybody. i've said it before, and i'll say it again......

IF YOU WERE FLOYD, and answer this **** honestly, WHO WOULD YOU FIGHT- COTTO FOR 10 MIL? OR DE LA HOYA FOR 25??????

this **** is simple mathematics!!!!! every1 knew this was coming, so yall need to get your panties outta bunch!!! this fight was a no-brainer for floyd, so quit calling the man a coward b/c he got better business sense than yall do!

now, after the dlh fight, cotto should be the biggest fight out there for him. so if he decides to fight someone else THEN, call him what you want...........

but this rematch is an easy decision to make.............

Maybe he is a coward. But how many boxers can say they have retired rich, undefeated and with their brain in tact? Not many.

Floyd is never going to be a guy who fights everyone to prove he is the best, he just wants to make money and do his work when he has to.

It seems to me that the guys who do retire healthy always have some so called 'unfinished' business like Lennox with Klitscko.

I dont like the guy, i hate the way he fights and wouldnt pay to watch him, but he is using boxing in a very smart way.

Although the coward had trouble "BEATING" a De la Hoya who is over his prime. What gives him and the boxing "experts" the right to proclaim him as the best when he avoids the best. You cannot be considered the best when you run like a coward and make up excuses as to why you don't want to fight a certain fighter like lets say... Cotto. "Oh he's not worthy or not popular enough" to fight you, ****, why not give him the chance and you yourselve can make him popular after he beats the **** out of you. I freakn hate Maycoward, he needs to step it up and shut his f****n mouth up, he has enough money, now be a man and fight the best, do it for your so called "legacy" and not the money!!!!
Tell em' why you mad son!

if these champs are fighting each other and not mayweather, why should he still be considered the best welter? it makes no sense and i don't care what he has done in the past,he's a welterweight now, fight the other champs, not old fighters like oscar and little ones like hatton, fight current champs, unify. he's not doing that...the best welter will be decided from winner of cotto/tony and if that fighter beats winner of quintana/williams. champs fighting champs....mayweather=pu$#$%$...pu#%%@=mayweather,s imple as that.
