Floyd isn't going to potshot. I don't know who came up with that idea.
You can't win a fight against a pressure fighter like Cotto by throwing only weak ass punches.

I didn't say they would knock him down or out, but it will stop him dead in his tracks.

THe fight would look much like Hatton fight, only with more urgency from Floyd from the beginning to slow Cotto down earlier.

Absolute bull****. The PM conversation we had about Cotto/Mosley convinced me to pick Mosley.

You establishing the arguments that you see winning the fight for Cotto's opponent (whoever that may be) may be ways that other people haven't thought of, which gives them a more clear picture in their head of how a fight goes down as opposed to what they had previously in their head.

Trust me, you are persuading a TON of people.

I don't think it will look anything like Hatton vs floyd . Cotto wont be in Floyd's face as much. Im not sure how the fight would look, but I doubt it will involve as much clinching as Floyd's last fight.

What does this have to do with anything?
HaHA.. I wasn't talking about you. Easy.

Anyway, everybody needs to be a man about their ****. There's no ego's here. Stay with the facts. Nobody praises their targets or their fellow members as often or as openly as I do. You refer to me I'll refer back. If you don't like the attention then don't draw attention to yourself by saying names.

Oh, I don't deny I have a talent for forensics and logistics when it comes to the sport and all that **** or whatever - but in terms of dictating who will win nobody should ever listen to me if they're foolish enough to do that. I'm fairly confident that they don't anyway, DW.

I could tell you everything that's going on and what's happening about 12 seconds into a fight - after it already starts! But not much before then. I'm not an expert on crowd factor, the personal perception of judges, the interpersonal relationships in a fighters life at the time, health and nutrition, psychology, astrology, or any of the other **** that takes as much presidence as an overhand right or left jab.

Nobody can predict what version of a fighter shows up to fight. A member here lost $6,000 on the Witter fight - and who could blame him?

Like it says in Evander Holyfield's new book; "..just because someone can tell you that it will come up heads when they flip a coin, doesn't always mean they know what they're talking about.."

Even though I agree with you that people shouldn't base their picks on what someone else says (I only listened to you, because I knew next to nothing about Mosley at the time), a lot of people do.

And I'm not calling you dumb... I'm really not, but a lot of people on here are going to mistake your linguistic/oratory skills of effective argumentation for intelligence. I think you are a smart dude, but I don't think your intelligence is up to par with you argumentation skills... if that was the case, you wouldn't be wasting your time, ****ing around on here, you'd be out making millions.

SO... a lot of people see this person that they think is a genius, who is able to always give a long, well thought out post full of good analysis backed up with historical examples... you really don't think that you convince people about these fights? You are nuts if you don't. The fact that you bring up Cotto's weak chin has made a lot of people get the idea in their head that Cotto's chin is weaker than they previously thought, before they read your posts. Trust me.

                  Flattering but ridiculous.

The theory that intelligence doesn't have direct relationship to analytical thinking and debate is an interesting one though. If the fact that I waste my time here is proof that I'm not a success or not intelligent I'm afraid you have given me more tribute than I deserve and you realize.

If I'm a genuis than Tyson is a genuis and Oasis Lad is a genuis. Because both of those guys are as smart as I am if not smarter. Neither one of them even bother to unload with their big guns. You are also obviously exceedingly intelligent, DW - so you'll have to spare me the sendup. I know you don't actually consider me one brain cell above you. Welter is also a man if surreal awareness and insight if you talk to him - but again, he's low key about it.

My argument is not that intelligence and analytical thinking are not related... I think they are directly related.

Debate is the area that I think is not related. If someone relentlessly posts about something, using big words, and using words they have come to realize sway people... that doesn't make them particularly intelligent on the subject... it just makes them a great orator.

By the way, I wasn't calling you out for spending time on here with the comment about more intelligence means you would be more successful. It was just a complement to your oratory skills (because it was a comparison between your oratory skills and intelligence), because I do think you are a wildly persuasive individual... and I was involved in both high school and college debate, so it is more of a complement than you know.
