Yeah, I laughed and thought it was funny because Toney does look like a gorilla, Toney has gotten very ugly as he's gotten older....There's nothing racist about me laughing at that.

I agree he hasn't done enough to be in the top 15, but look at some of the other names currently ranked by the sanctioning bodies: Donnell Holmes, JD Chapman, Carl Davis Drumond, Derek Rossy, etc.

Donnell Holmes has never fought anyone even as good as two of Boytsov's opponents (Hawkins and Pala). Holmes second last opponent was Charlie Zelenoff's promoter, Stacy Goodson.

good points, the belts are disgraceful for rating those fighters as well. I dont even know what goes through their minds.

although really, if I use a sprinkle of imagination I can somehow 'see' those fighters 'deserving' top 20ish rankings. Boytsov's wins so far dont even look good on paper so far. the only guy that had a good looking record was that
argentian guy and when I actually saw him fight...whew, he was garbage. sorry old man, but you were fat and horrible. I was kind of surprised Boytsov didnt get rid of him, actually.

I really hope Boytsov doesnt get lured into taking a title shot already. he really didnt progress as much as I expected him to against Hawkins. but hey, thats the magic of being so young in a division of 30 year olds...you can take all the time you want.
And I really hope he does and just continues to build experience, otherwise it would just be a real big waste.
