Under the WBA rules, if the WBA is unified with either WBC or IBF like Mijares or Campbell, they will become the Super Unified Champion... So the belt of Munoz will declared vacant... Mijares is the unified Super champ WBA/WBC but under WBA rules WBA needs to have 1 regular champion because Mijares is a unified Super champ already so Banal number 2 ranked by the WBA will fight for the vacant..

Calzaghe is the unified but Mundine is the regula WBA champ..

what a load crap. organizations like the WBA are making a joke of boxing with bull**** titles like this. Just about anyone with a winning record these days either has a title or is fighting for one. Banal is good enough to be fighting for a real title, not a fake one like this

there policies works out in case the unified champ loses and the challenger didnt pay sanctioning fee ala baldomir vs. judah. if it werent for the wba rules, judah might stil be the wba champ after losing to baldomir cuz baldomir didnt pay the fee.
