Now if he had remained active and decided not to fight Vitali again, that's another thing.
Yeah, I agree with this. Lennox cleaned up the division at his time, would've liked to see him rematch Klitch but dont hold it against him.

He wasn't afraid of the guys who KO'd him so I doubt he was scared of a guy who just gave him a tough fight.

there's nothing to be scared of when you know you got hit by a lucky punch.

People who (incredibly) ***** about the Lewis-Vitali fight always forget one little insignificant (for what does it matter when outrage is involved?) bit of information: Lewis won legitimately. There was no robbery, no bad decision, no room for argument.

vitali is one of my favorite boxers but he blew it that night, he had lennox lewis hurt plenty of times. And just couldn't finish Lennox off, Vitali only has one man to blame and thats himself for not being able to finish Lennox off when he had the chance. ****ing lennox basically colapsed onto his stool when they decided to stop the fight. You could tell which man was more tired at the end since Vitali wanted to keep going but clearly Lennox did not. Not mad at the stoppage, I'm mad that Vitali let himself get nailed with shots that opened his eyes up and the fact vitali had this fight in his hands but let it go.

You are a ****ing idiot. Vlad was ahead on cards but that cut was from a flush punch from Lennox's fist. Lennox Lewis pwns and he's the man on HBO.

I'm not saying it is a reason but getting KO'd by a guy is a better reason to fear someone than just getting outboxed.

Lennox is a weird boxer for me........I didn't REALLY appreciate him till he retired then I was like, **** I wish LL was still fighting.

scratches his head and wonders why this guy is talking about who was ahead on the cards and pointing out the cuts being by a punch. I don't even think anyone has mentioned anything about that. That is not what this thread is about therefore you sir are the idiot. Do you usually jump in conversations in real life without knowing what you're talking about?

yeah i wish he would have stayed longer as well but what can you do. He gave us some good fights. Just don't like how he went out. Vatali deserved a rematch and chance to dethrone lewis but lewis ran away. And about the KO. It was from a lucky punch and lewis knew that. That's nothing to be scared of that's something that can happen in any fight. Vatali gave lewis all he can handle in every round and that itself is more to be scared of than one lucky punch

Why don't you increase the font size up a little more to really prove your point. The bottom line is Lennox revenged both his losses in dramatic form, STOPPED Vlad, retired as a multimillionare champion with the respect of American fans. I never use this but.........

                      beating somebody once is enough..
you got nothing else to prove.
why should he continue fighting when he was declining and ageing?
boxers don't know when to stop, this guy did.
                      end of story.
