Now, i think similarities are with Roberto Duran. Duran had a Mexican dad, Panamanian mom. But he lived in Panama represented Panama so he is Panamas son.

Margarito was born in the USA but his parents took him back to Mexico fought young in Mexico, is considered a Mexican fighter so I'd say he represents Mexico.

I am not too familiar with these laws or policies but it's something along those lines. You don't have to be born in a certian country to represent that country in the olympics. Well, I told the Brits Lennox Lewis is not a British fighter since he learned to fight in Canada and even represented them in the Olympics. They said he's British since he was born there. Well, that makes Margarito an American fighter even if he doesn't even speak English, right?

I thought Lennox was born in Jamaica?
