He fought Torrence Daniels & Edel Ruiz in Mexico recently! TK0 2 & UD
Molitor has been the most active world champion of the modern era. He has made four world title defenses in only 9 months. So lets take a look at the last 2 in comparison.

Richardo Castillo, Jose Luis younger brother who was 33-4 going in and gave Ceballero all he could handle earlier that year. Molitor wins UD 118-109 on all three cards.

Fernando Beltran Jr. 30-2-1 going in as the IBF mandatory challenger

Now for Conceptions oponents. Key word oponents.

Jaun Ruiz 21-4 going in. Has been badly outclassed by lesser opponents

Torrence Daniels 10-3-1 going in. enough said.

    Ponce is Not Available!

Fighting underneath a Pacquiao-Diaz fight will be a huge exposure~
I haven't actually seen him fight, it's because he almost exclusively fought in Canada!

I see Bernabe as a deserving opponent for the Title!!!
I'm not sayin' Concepcion will be Molitor, but I think this will be a competitive bout~

Champions needs to face the up & coming fighters to prove there worth!
Been more active than any other champion, has re-ocurring hand injury that needs to be delt with. Also has had a problem with getting cut above the right eye, only time will help that

Here come the Pinoys and with them comes the bias.

Conception is not a worthy challanger; he has fought no world ranked opponents and his record is a padded one. If you believe the bout will be competitive you are sadly mistaken. Against Ruiz, Conception just about eeked out the decision; Molitor is a boxer who is on another level to what Conception has faced before and will toy with Conception if they ever meet. Conception needs to earn his shot by fighting meaningful bouts, not what he has being doing of late. Molitor is seriously underrated on these boards and one day people will sit up and take notice.

This will silence the critics. It was dated April 6th: He does not even plan on fighting again till the end of the year.

Molitor had just dismantled Mexico's Fernando Beltran Jr. by unanimous decision and couldn't hide his excitement at the well-earned month away from workouts that lie ahead. "No running, no training, no nothing," he said.
There will also be a vacation - "somewhere far, far away, with maybe a few drinks" - before he returns to the gym in Mississauga, Ont., where he trains with Chris Johnson.

""I've got to take some time off to get that hunger back a little bit."

Promoter Allan Tremblay of Orion Sports Management says that the plan is to have Molitor fight another IBF contender at Casino Rama by the end of 2008 before trying to arrange a bout with one of the U.S.-based fighters around his 122-lb. weight range - be it Daniel Ponce De Leon, Israel Vasquez or Rafael Marquez.

THANK YOU. I was accually looking for that write up. He deserves a break considuring he has been the most active world champion 4 title defenses in 9 months against top world talent.

LOL...Can you not read? He said world champion, not fighter. Gamboa is not a world champion. Molitor announced a vacation from the sport well over a month ago. Why are you trying to turn this into something it is not? Is Molitor supposed to cancel all his vacation plans because Concepcion needs a dance partner? Now who is the hugger here?

Read the article I posted. You will be enlightened.

well he did say CHAMPION, and Gamboa is not a champion. Aside from Mijares, I cant think of anyone who defended his World Title Belt as frequently as Molitor in the past 9 or 10 months.
