Steve Molitor Turns Down Bernabe Concepcion

REIGNING NABF super bantamweight champion Bernabe “Kamaong Llave” Concepcion will have to wait a little longer before landing a title shot. Concepcion received word from United States IBF super bantamweight king Steve Molitor refused to face him on the undercard to the Manny Pacquiao-David Diaz pay-per-view on June 28 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Is Concepcion even rated by the IBF? I know he holds the NABF title which puts him in the frame for a possible shot, and the IBF mandatories are considerely poor....there's no reason to turn this fight down unless Molitor has bigger plans.

I think Molitor would decision Bernabe who is a great talent, and would do wonders for Steve in perhaps facing the likes Caballero and Ponce De Leon later in the year.

Molitor says he wants to fight Ponce de Leon or Caballero next.

If that is true, then that is a good enough reason not to take the Concepcion fight. Let's hope one of the possible fights come off.

Exacally. He also has a hand injury, aswell as a re-acuring cut that needs to be healed by time off. This kid isnt even on Steve Molitors level, The Canadian Kid would embarase him on PPV, he is ver lucky that Molitor turned down that fight. Molitor is the best outside fighter in the division, he will beat Ponce De Leon or Caballero, and of course this Concepcion rubbish.

Molitor would have a field day with Concepcion.

Unbelievably biased article which is trying to make Molitor look like a *****. The writer should be ashamed of himself. Steve has bigger plans and more money to make facing PDL or Caballero.

Conception has fought absolutely nobody worth mentioning and the suggestion that Molitor is avoiding him is farcical. If the fight took place it would be a complete mismatch in Molitor's favour so I am glad he is looking towards the bigger fish in the division. I would like to see him fight the winner of the De Leon vs Lopez fight and I would back him against either tbh.

Exacally. Molitor is going on to bigger things, and bigger names. He said one more optional up in Canada and then a unification with either PDL or Ceballero

Real Dumb Move by Molitor! He has no fan base in America he should be taking every chance he can get to make a name for himself. Pac vs diaz undercard fight would of been a good opportunity.
