Hah, I doubt the WBC would hold up to that, as they've shown a willingness to say **** mandatories for a long time... I just want him to say he'll fight again.

well, truth be told a lot of the best athletes that had the potential to do well in boxing go into the NFL.

For example, look at James Toney. he was probebly on his way to the NFL as a quarterback, but he didnt really make it through college. I dont know a lot of the details...but Toney was supposed to be really good. imagine if he did end up going into football instead of boxing. we wouldve missed out on one hell of a fighter!

and then look at someone like BJ Flores, who really could have gone into the NFL, he had the college football career and everything. but he chose boxing instead, because he probebly wouldnt have gotten far in the NFL. and Flores isnt amazing, but he probebly will get a title shot and has a chance to win one.

Its not like its a guarentee or anything, but its possible that there are guys in the NFL that could have really done well in boxing.

The dumb thing about people defending this **** division is 1,000-fold.

For one, if the same heavyweights that they cheer were American, they wouldn't like them as much. The claim the division is fine, yet there is no TRUE world champion in the division. There's hardly even a person in the division that THE MAJORITY would feel comfortable calling the BEST in the division. You can say Wlad Klitschko, but the problem comes into play when he fights relative bums, his brother will stop him from unifying if he continues fighting, and his beard doesn't hold up well in all his fights.

The other problem is when people say 'Americans have gone soft' when the EXACT opposite is true. Americans slim down to more lucrative divisions, and the FAT ASS heavyweights with their SOFT bodies, muddy up a divisions that was weak as hell in the first place.

They say that America doesn't produce good heavyweights? That's fine, you can make the claim. The moment that America (or any other country for that matter) does have a GOOD heavyweight, this WEAK ass division would be cleaned out since 90 percent of this division is TRASH.

As far as divisions that are better than Heavyweight...

Welterweight, Jr. Featherweight, Jr. Lightweight, Lightweight, Jr. Welterweight, Middleweight, Super Middleweight, are all better.

You could even make the case for Featherweight and Light Heavyweight if you really wanted to.

Fact is that Europeans own the division. VERY true. A division that sucks, horribly.

Best American prospects that is Kball. And they both arent any good either.

The division sucks overall. It's top heavy then there's a huge drop off.

Vitali and Thompson fight and Vitali knocks Thompson out to unify 3 titles.

1 year from now, Vit is undisputed champ and Wlad is disgraced and out of boxing...
The other Klitschko becomes the linear champ and not Wlad.

Your boxing knowledge of the HW division sucks if you think those are the two brightest heavyweight prospects.
