While it is true the best heavyweight prospects are notin the states it is much more interesting to point out the reasons why that is so. The soviets had a great school of boxing and once the union collapsed they started to emerge. It has nothing to do with natural talent in my opinion because there is not enough diversity to rely on natural talent. On the other hand while being in my opinion more naturally talented (aggressiveness, speed and strength) most Americans who go into boxing come from the streets and are people who otherwise would be in some sort of criminal activities (on average). Only very recently boxing schools started training heavyweights as amateurs first and from a very young age. You should see some american talent in say 5 years.

Plus, heavyweights these days are pretty ****ing big. Any US boxers who are talented athletes and not just fat ****s will tend to boil down I think.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH.It was prestigious back in the days. Now heavyweight division poor because of the horrible talent coming through. If Eastern Europeans keep dominating like the way they are now. They maybe Heavyweight Champions but what’s the point when nobody cares about your division. I really fear That MMA may become more popular than boxing and I hate MMA.
