Then I can see why you chose yes. For you it's a better than 50% chance so that makes total sense.

See, I had to go with no because to me there's about a 10% or less chance that Cotto can hurt Margarito legitmately. Cotto hasn't hurt any of his opponents recently early in a fight -except for Malignaggi with the eye socket break - and he's never been the type of puncher to just drop someone out of nowhere. Not up in class anyway.

But like I said Cotto has punches that find sick points on the body and he might be able to give Margarito his instant AIDS and bring him to a knee. If I see Margarito on a knee I'm going to go crazy. Even I will be impressed.

I meant to put 40/60 chance.

But think about it. Tony has been in some tough fights... Its like... How long can he take it? and when will it take affect towards him? I think Cotto will answer that question, cause he has potential to break down Tony if he plays his cards right.

Yeah, that's a great point and it will be in the back of my mind until I see Margarito moving and throwing on the night. Until then I won't know what kind of shape he's in. He looked dead slow against Cintron at different points, and he's taken a ****load of heavy shots the last few years. We won't know how slow and weathered he is until it's too late and he's in with a fresh set of legs and a guy with sharp mechanics aka Miguel Angel Cotto.

You got me on this, Undefeated.

Voted yes. To the body he can hurt Marg. To the head depends how much leather he lands on Marg over time. Knowing Marg's chin it will have to be a siginificant amount.

Is that more of a hypothetical for you, or do you really think he's going to hurt Margarito?

Honestly to the head it is a hypothetical. To the body I think he will. The question was can he hurt Marg IMO of course he can hurt Marg to the body. The more I think about this fight the more I lean towards Cotto. To me the technical superiority Cotto has over Marg will get him the UD. He lost against Williams and was losing against Clottey first 4 rounds before he got hurt. He beat Cintron again and Golden Johnson and looked great against them. But Cintron and Golden Johnson aren't really people to **** your chest over. It all comes down in my book to quality of opposition and the records themselves. Cotto crushes Marg's resume and he's much more technically sound as a boxer than Marg and will take advantage of Marg's slow punches. I started thinking this way, then thought Marg would beat him and now I'm back to thinking Cotto will get the UD. IMO Cotto beats Marg with speed, experience, boxing ability, body work and will take advantage of Marg's weaknesses a la Clottey. I see parallels with this fight and the Quintana fight. The majority of people had Quintana picked but Cotto blew him out based on their records and quality of opposition. Don't think it's gonna be a blow out but an impressive UD victory for Cotto.

Yeah, that is a switch. I'm staying over here though.. HaHA. As much as I can see Cotto having some good moments moving in, scoring, and getting back out I know it will become a slaughter when Margarito starts connecting. To me it doesn't matter if Cotto has the offensive ability of Ray Robinson. If he has the constitution of Miguel Cotto he's going to get roughed up and stopped. Margarito will wait for Cotto to throw his combinations, then he will take his turn. It's not unlike a Winky Wright style of exchanging. Cotto isn't built for wars, and he's only been in one which he almost lost to Torres. Cotto gets hurt in Boxing matches for christ sakes.. This is all wrong for him.
