Against Kessler he was little short of amazing both offensively and defensively.

Hopkins, Jones and Toney have all lost to inferior fighters than Calzaghe so is it really so crazy to think that he could beat them. I think its crazier to think that he couldn't.
Yes, he did look great against Kessler..I knew he would and predicted he would win 116-112 since his style would be too much for Kessler being that he's a limited fighter. In the very next fight Hopkins made Calzaghe look ordinary so what does that tell you about the level of opposition? It was a good win, it wasn't a great win.

I think the evidence would point to Hopkins, Toney, and without question Jones beating Calzaghe in their primes. I've never suggested that it would be an easy fight for any of them, though.

I understand your position. The question I ask is whether anyone else could do to kessler what Joe did? Prime Jones probably, but not Hopkins or Toney.

As for Joe v B-Hop, as has been said many times before, B-Hop will make anyone look bad. I really think that if Calzaghe is still anything close to the fighter he was in the Lacy/ Kessler era then he will own the **** out of whoever he fights next, be that RJJ, Tarver or Pavlik and then people will start to see what I'm talking about.

Please. Weren't you one of the people calling Hopkins "Borehard" or "Slopkins" or "Popkins" and posting bouts in his resume followed by laughing smilies? Talk about the pot callin the kettle black.

They also have ALL fought better fighters then Joe Calzaghe.
