I don't agree that Hopkins proved he could handle Joe in his prime, as that was hardly a prime Calzaghe we saw either.

I don't say what you say is wrong, it isn't, but just as the fighters have the positive attributes you mention, they also have the negative ones that I do, and all have lost fights because of them.
was Jones knocked in in his prime? its no coincidence that Jones Losses by KO came when he was 35+ pretty old for a fighter who relys on his reflexes to be successfull would'nt u say

as for Toney that maybe a valid point but when u are walking someone onto counter punches and showing the judges ring Generlship u can win fights wihtout being as active as your oponent fights are not just scored on quantity they are also scored on quality ,Calzaghe style plays into Toneys hands IMO ,Toney was a good body pucher could fight off the ropes & pick out uppercuts & right hands while rolling shots

Hopkins has proved he can beat Calzaghe IMO

just out of interest what Toney ,Jones ,Hopkins fights have watched recently

A prime Hopkins would let off more punches and that would be enough to give Slappin' Joe a good 116-112, 117-111 type beating.

I've been watching Toney recently the most of all, with Nunn, Littles, Williams, Barkley, Jones Jr, Jirov and Ruiz today and yesterday.

Hopkins I watched Tarver, Trinidad and De La Hoya today, saw Winky, Jone Jr and Calzaghe recently.

Roy Jones I watched Toney and Ruiz today.

Why I have to explain this to you I don't know, but I don't just post based on nothing like I imagine some people do, I do watch the fighters I talk about. I'm sure you find my opinions hard to fathom, but I find some opinions on Calzaghe that way too, and I'm sure you've seen plenty of his fights. It comes from different perspectives I guess.

Fair enough, I think you underrate him and overrate your favourites. Nothing we can do about it either way.
