Tarver is a Southpaw hits as hard if not harder than Calzaghe & he is a better counter puncher & he has great footwork he also has a very good jab

underated fighter a lot of people dislike him but when this guy turns it on he is one of the best IMO

I think the Hopkins fight with Joe looking bad has caused us all to forget one thing:

At his best Joe Calzaghe is a class above any of the opponents he could face now, and would beat Tarver, Pavlik, Dawson and today's Roy fairly easily. When he fights well he really does have awesome speed, an awkward game and acceptable power. I think he will surprise a few people in his next fight.

Hopkins was better than any of these fighters by a distance too, and its only since losing to Joe that this has been 'forgotten'.

He ain't hurtin NOBODY..especially at 175...his defense is ****..and his chin is OVERRATED..That **** Hopkins was HURTING him with ain't **** compared to the stuff Pavlik..Dawson..Johnson..can throw..

The way he looked against Hopkins leads me to believe Dawson would **** him up..

Replace 43/yo Hopkins with Dawson and Joe would have been KTFO.

Hopkins would have been KTFO by Dawson as well.
