    Im really glad to see byrd was honest; many fighters would have blamed it on other things like, "i lost too much weight too soon"...or something like that...

    dont get me wrong i think the 40lbs dropped has nearly everything to do with the loss and had he took the time and lost the weight over a fair amount of time he would have beaten george...

    but it shows his class to accept blame for losing the fight; like said many times; byrd is a very nice/honest guy...a truely good hearted person.

    I hope byrd enjoys retirement because at this age (37) and given what he's done in the ring already i dont think he needs to prove anything else.

    He's a good fighter to say the least.

      I agree. I was shocked and disapointed. I should have listened to some of the doubters I guess. I really wish Chris had been able to make a run for something one more time. He is really a nice guy and definately has heart.
