Gamboa - The Next Meldrick Taylor or Shane Mosley?

Gamboa to me is a fresh breath of fresh air. Gamboa in my eyes may be somewhere in between of being the next Shane Mosley or being the next Meldrick Taylor, nice company to be in. Gamboa has the speed of a young Mosley and the smooth but raw combinations of Taylor, Does Gamboa have the chin of a Mosley? That, is yet to be determined. Darling Jimenez will come in and play the role of lie detector. Have my eyes been lying to me thus far? Well, we will soon find out. I am picking Gamboa to finish Jimenez inside 5 rounds.

    gamboa is the next guzman
for those who dont know guzman, you should watch him..
nobody wants to fight him in the 130 weight class
let him move up to lightweight and clean out the division

His quickness and combinations do remind me a little of Mosley/Taylor. But he still has things to improve and who knows how he will react when the going gets tough.

I have thought highly of Darling since he kayoed Anchondo he has been off a year though that could play a factor. I like the odds Darling is getting i think 6 to 1 is a good number for what i consider a live dog. If Gamboa was a little more experianced professionally I would be a lot more confindent in him. Darling probably needs a kayo to win though so that gives Gamboa a huge advantage.

If Gamboa uses his advantages he should win this fight cleanly, although i think it will go about 8 rounds or more.

High praise there, Evil. But what from what I've seen of him, you maybe right. The kid has got some AWESOME talent. As others have said before me, though, he needs to be in a rough one to tell. I'll be watching tonight, bud.

No, Gamboa will be much better than Guzman!

He's fought a better level of opposition in his first nine fights, as Guzman did in fights 15 to 22.

Guzman fought real tomato cans in his first 14 fights. His 14th fight was against a guy who was 0-19.

Gamboa will be boxing's next superstar.

At 0-19 why do you continue?
