Hopefully Byrd will now retire. He looked so drawn when I saw him in the media before the fight. He may have been musclilar but his face looked like he was suffering from some terminal illness!!! I hope he made enough money in his career to live comfortablly because he really is a class act and I'd hate to see him suffer the results from trying to hang on in boxing to long. He's certainly smart enouhgh to have some other kind of active role in the sport without taking any more punches in the ring.

You guys feel sorry for Bryd?I love it any time uncle tom Chris Byrd loses.And just because a fighter gets in the ring for money doesnt mean he is risking his life any more than alot of professions.Steel Mill workers,Police Officers,Firefighters ect ect ect risk their lives too and they dont make millions of dollars like these guys do.Byrd lost to a average fighter which shows how bad he always was.Foreman fought till he was 48 and i don't remember anybody knocking him out.Everybody can't be as great as Foreman was but still...losing to fighters such as Shaun George should never happen if Chris Byrd himself was anything more than a overrated bum.

Do you know Chris Byrd personally ? How are you gonna call the man an Uncle Tom unless you know him personally. Besides that, who says a fighter risks his life MORE than any other profession? Finally, You can't compare Byrd to Foreman because number one, Foreman was a huge man! Also, Foreman retired in his prime and therefore when he came back he had a lot less mileage and punishment than many of the guys he fought. Ali lost to Trevor Berbick does that mean he was an overrated bum? You should learn to think before you post garbage.
