    Anyone that watched Byrds sparing video knew he didn't have a chance in hell of winning this fight.

      I never understood why Byrd was supposed to be good anyway. Why because he moved down in weight? He's a light puncher who relied on speed and reflexes. Is he supposed to gain punching power all of a sudden? I expected him to look bad, not surprised he lost.

      I'm just puzzled at why so many people thought he'd be good. On paper this was a bad thing, and he looekd shot to me against Povetkin and the ESPN2 fight before that anyway.

        Agreed. A shot fighter does not get unshot by moving down in weight. As the saying goes, once it is beaten out of you, its gone forever.
