He is coming up on 32. He is a natural SFW. He had A LOT of activity early in his career. Amateurs. Olympics. Pros.

He is slightly past his prime. Every day is another day downhill.

Wow....I'm suprised to see the poll the way it is. There is no doubt he is in his Prime right now, today as we speak and has been for the last year and will be for another year or two......But he's playing wrestler for money.

I feel that I saw a difference in the combinations that he threw on gatti vs the ones that he threw on Hatton. He has slowed as he got bigger and older.

I AM NOT COMPARING HATTON TO GATTI. But i am saying that even when Hatton was hurt in round 8, Floyd wasn't as fluid and fast as he has been in the past.

Look at the way he finished Manfredy. The punches were flying so fast. Against Hatton, when he had Ricky really hurt towards the end of round 8, he wasn't that same type of whirling dervish.

I said that he is coming up on 32. He turns 32 on his next birthday. How is that statement wrong?

He is at least 31.5 by the next time he steps into the ring.

Good point......But I think the size has alot to do with that and he has to be smarter than he was then.....which is part of being a prime fighter.

Well, any fighter/athlete is smarter at 35 than 25. But the physical prime is such a huge component. You know what you want to do, but your body doesn't cooperate.

Look at Bernard Hopkins. He is at his mental peak. But his speed, activity and stamina wouldn't allow him to keep up with Calzaghe.

Trust me I know all about this.....I'm 30 and just starting playing in a Basketball league again after a 10 year layoff......lol

I'm just saying Floyd is a Physical machine I don't think he's lost that much yet......And what he has lost is mostly due to weight. I get your point tho and I think you get mine. Either way I'd say he's more dangerous now than he ever was and ever will be.....making him Prime material, right now, this year and he was last year too. It's just a shame he's not fighting a bit more against the top fighters....Not just top 'names'
