    1. has he got slower?
    2. does he throw combinations like he used to or does he do the 1-2's and then run?

Is he at his absolute best right now after 20 yearz and 18 world title fights in the sport while moving up 5 weight classes?

I say no. I think the Mayweather from even 2005 stops Oscar and destroys Hatton a lot sooner. 2007 was a year of big wins for Mayweather, but he didn't look all that great in either fight. I still had him beating Oscar 8-4 and only losing 2 rounds tops to Hatton, but he didn't thrill us all that much in either fight.

If he was in his prime fighters would be running away from him not towards him. Think Cotto, Hatton, Oscar...

Prime in terms of best combination of experience/skill and physical ability.......YES he is in his prime, but not at his prime weight at 147lbs.

Mayweather is a little slower, but it has nothing to do with age and everything to with size. He is still one of the fastest boxers there is at any weight.

He can still throw combos and did so to devastating effect against Hatton. He doesn't throw as many now because he wants to win without getting hit and potshotting allows him much greater control over this.

So yes, Mayweather remains in his prime, but he is approaching the end of it.
