Best Fighter P4P in his Prime...!!!

I'm unsure of the legitimacy of the claim that weight played a part. Sure, losing weight in a short period of time has an effect, but Jones got KO'd more than a year after fighting Ruiz, and he had already come through the first Tarver fight at the same weight without being KO'd.
As for him no longer being in his prime at that point, I agree, but when it comes to his chin I still think there are question marks over it. Some fighters lose their punch resistance because they've taken a lot of hard shots over the years, but Jones never did. I'm sure his age was a factor, but not quite as big a factor as RJJ fans claim.
Ali was 38 when he lost to Holmes, and you act like it means nothing. McCallum was 2 weeks away from his 40th birthday when Jones beat him 2 divisions above his best weight, and you act like it means something.
Maybe JJ hasn't, but I have, and I don't think it affects someone's ability to accurately post on the subject either way.Comment

Roy was hurt a couple times in the first tarver fight and burning muscle is very tough and has a lasting effect on the body. I'll give you a direct quote from Arnold Schwarzenegger's fitness books, Arnold's Bodybuilding for Men and Arnold: The Education of a BodybuilderI'm unsure of the legitimacy of the claim that weight played a part.
