I'm an Anglo-Italian living in Hong Kong. I boxed as a kid (about 12-14 years old) then got into martial arts for a few years. I returned to boxing training as an adult but never fought competitively.

I try not to jump on anyone's band wagon and remain a fan of any boxer with style and flair. Two of my favorites from the past would be Hagler and Benn.

Tore my cruciate ligament in right knee aged 19, had surgery on my knee 3 times!!! now aged 24 started boxing again 6 months ago, have sparred bout 15-20 rounds. Trying to get body down to lightweight limit before I compete again, but finding it extremely hard as im 5"10

yeah well considering I didn't have a fight till bout 2 years after I started, most people don't fight in my gym until they have about 6-12 months experience and that would be in a case were someone was very committed and a pretty fast learner. I didn't always have the time to fully committ thus took me a little over 2 years, but had a lot of amateurs around my size and weight in my gym so that helped me progress.

Maybe he made a mistake in his message tho
