    what a negative attitude !!!!

waste a career ? no way. I think he's smart. There is no way
he could keep fighting at heavyweight with Wladimir at the top
he did the smart thing ... and he's just made the light heavyweight
    division interesting ...

I definately shouldn't have used the word wasted...

My second post (#4 or #5 on the first page) is a better representative of what I wanted this thread to be.

He definately wouldn't have been beaten up by anyone at LHW the way he was against W. Klitschko IMO.

        Thoughts?
maybe he could have had a better legacy but he made way better money fighting as a heavyweight.

Nobody at LHW is going to be able to hurt him after the punishment he's taken from some big, big HWs. I think he could have dominated the CW division for years but he took a chance and did fairly well at HW I must say......

he may have been more dominant at lhw, but no one cares nearly as much about lhw as they do about the heavies. he went up and hung with the big boys, and even held a piece of the hw crown. no shame or waste in that imho!

Just think about it Micheal Moorer was prolly the best LHW ever yet he only gets talked about as a heavywieght. Same thing with Evander and cruiser although those fights are on all the time on ESPN he will always be remembers for his HW career.

I dont think he wasted his career...

he probably didnt take it as far as his potential...but he didnt waste it.

I think zab judah is a much better example of a wasted career.

Judah could be a LOT further in the rankings if he applied himself.

Chris Byrd still has fight left in him and i think he should do very well at LHW especially considering the shape he appears to be in (best shape i've ever seen him in).

                    His career isnt over yet...
