Tarver has so many skills, he is number 8 on my P4P list.
Pavlik has never lost, nor has he ever really looked terrible.

Tarver, on the other hand, got wiped the **** out by Hopkins, like 4 fights ago.

Tarver doesn't have everything. He is a very good fighter, but very one dimensional and one paced. If you want to look at a fighter that has everything, Chad Dawson is offensively brilliant and I'm seriously not biased at all. He has hand speed, good defense, very diverse arsenal of punches and has good power. Hes the best light heavyweight in my opinion until another fighter proves me wrong.

On topic, Pavlik has beaten Taylor twice(who was on the pound for pound list before he lost).Thats why Pavlik is ranked so high and he deserves it, he also beat the feared number one ranked Edison Miranda and is the undisputed middleweight champion. Taver lost to Hopkins and hasn't beaten any pound for pound quality fighters for years. If he would have beaten Hopkins, then he would have still been on there and ranked higher.

Pavlik has earned it, Tarver has fought his way out of it. Plain and simple; Tarver has got to be the laziest in-the-ring fighter who has talent but it's wasted on him.
