I REALLY met Miguel Cotto today...

You probably caught him at a bad time or a bad day.
As already stated in the thread, it has to be frustrating when you're trying to spend some quality time with friends and family while having people constantly come up to you asking for pictures and autographs.Last edited by Silencers; 05-14-2008, 06:51 AM.Comment

The theory that it was a bad day, or they had been bothered a lot for pictures doesn't cut it when it comes to arrogance.
(Im only talking about top fighters that have made millions)
- You make millions from a sport you love. Your fans make you the money. You should give them a little bit of respect. Maybe Cotto is just a total D-Bag in real life. I don't support him, i go for Margarito, that guy is a nice guy. From what i have heard he always has a picture with everyone.Comment

If you watch, around the 7:23 Anthony Bourdain wobbles Cotto with a right.Fast forward the video until the 3:10 mark. Most of you guys have probably never seen this footage of Cotto before.

On April 12 on the Atlantic City boardwalk, I ran in to Evangilista Cotto and Henry Burseles and let me tell you, those guys had a look on there face thatI didn't get a good look at the girl but she strongly resembled Cotto's wife. You may be right, but still, like I said, he's a public figure and being a little nice takes no effort at all.
I wouldn't call myself a Tito FAN, as a boxer I don't like his style that much, I think he's way overrated here and I hate how he thinks he's better than he is, but as a person greeting fans, he is a great guy.
said, don't **** with me. Me being the CPR (Crazy Puerto Rican) that I am,
I walked right up to them with my hands rised in the air, like I was being arrested and starting talking. Now I'm 5'10 180 lbs, there both 5'7-5'8 I was looking down, they were looking up, I started talking with a big ass smile on my face and noticed Evangilista waved off his folks and allowed me to take
pics and a short video. Long story short, you must have came across as a the ******* and he thought you wasn't worth his time. Bottom line..
It's not what you do but how you do things. If I was a star (Which I am) and a fan came up to me and my entourage with a ****ing ****** look on his face and he's asking for pictures a video, time. I would walk away from his ass too.
Nobody has time to deal with the mentally challenged people of the world.
That's what hospitals are for. Miguel is a fighter, he could've thought you
were a Margarito fan or something, trying to **** his game up, who knows?
Get over it, like the once famous great Mexican fighter (Alphonso Gomez)
said, (Hey, I get dumped by girls, all the time, I'll get over it.) U should too.

You're just a raving *****, you lying sack of **** and you were never a fan to begin with....what a total *******. I spotted him with his wife in the parking lot of a shopping center here, and I yelled "Champ! Mind if I take a picture witchu?" His wife smiled at me and said "Sure, sure!", but Cotto slowly turned his head and looked PISSED, like if he did NOT want to do it.
At least he did pose for the picture, bigger *******s wouldn't have done that, but he didn't even look at me, talk, smile, shake my hand, or anything. As he walked away, I said "good look against Margarito", and not only did he not say thanks, he didn't even turn back to recognize I spoke.
I had always defended him when people called him a ****, I said he just had a serious demeanor but he was a nice guy. I was completely WRONG. What a sharp contrast to Tito and Ivan Calderon, two of the nicest PEOPLE you could ever hope to meet. Cotto just lost a fan today.Comment
