I REALLY met Miguel Cotto today...

i've always thought that celebrities with their families out in public are always going to be non-friendly. they just want time with their loved ones.

...what a total *******. I spotted him with his wife in the parking lot of a shopping center here, and I yelled "Champ! Mind if I take a picture witchu?" His wife smiled at me and said "Sure, sure!", but Cotto slowly turned his head and looked PISSED, like if he did NOT want to do it.

At least he did pose for the picture, bigger *******s wouldn't have done that, but he didn't even look at me, talk, smile, shake my hand, or anything. As he walked away, I said "good look against Margarito", and not only did he not say thanks, he didn't even turn back to recognize I spoke.

I had always defended him when people called him a ****, I said he just had a serious demeanor but he was a nice guy. I was completely WRONG. What a sharp contrast to Tito and Ivan Calderon, two of the nicest PEOPLE you could ever hope to meet. Cotto just lost a fan today.

Give the guy a break, he is after all a robot. Human interaction was not included in his programming.

You could kind of tell my his demeanor. I dont mean to bring up Floyd, but Floyd was the coolest dude ever. I got to chill at his hotel with his staff. We were gonna go to his room and chill but we got there late and he was already packing to leave to Dallas during the ODLH vs Floyd fight. The coolest dude EVER. Oscar was an ass, but at least he took a pic with me.

Wow, I'm surprised. Cotto's friends make it seem like he is one of the nicest guys in the world. When I saw i video of him walking around he seemed really inclined to talk to everyone.

This woman told me her daughter tried to ask Mayweather to dance in a club in Las Vegas but he turned back around and payed no attention to her. Im not sure if she was attractive or anything, I dont really know. I did hear Tyson was very nice and even gave away one of his motorcycles to this guy, just because the guy commented that he liked it.

You can't blame cotto or any fighter for that matter for not being social.

Some guys are happy to be where they are and are really happy to sit and talk with fans all the time (even during a 15+ year career) and some dont like the constant attention.

Overall they are just like you and me...

If someone came to you multiple times a day EVERYDAY you went out in public and asked for photos or to sign something you'd eventually get frustrated about not being able to do something as simple as going to the grocery store without people asking you to take a picture.

you would probably love it at first but after awhile it gets old...

imagine fans that want to actually sit and talk with fighters...

imagine how many times someone has asked cotto, "are you going to fight mayweather?"

imagine how many times someone has asked mayweather about that same thing...

some guys dont mind the attention (like floyd; he LOVES all the fan attention) and some do...

Its quite difficult being in the public eye but it all comes with the territory, Some handle it some cant....You could see someone like cotto cant handle it...He seem like a shy person that doesnt talk alot, It all fits well with his character of not calling people out,Trashtalking or messing about.

He is a very straight and boring character who wants to get in the ring and just fights, Go back home to his family without the adulation of any fans..He is just a simple guy.
