After seeing the floods of messages on non stop boxing from people demanding to know the latest on Audley i have decided to post this. Contrary to public belief, the only the reason the forum was upgraded this week was so that it could cope with the huge response from the boxing community to the latest on audley.
So here is what you have been waiting for. Audley comments on his latest win
I personally would like to say cong**** to audley, who after many years of boxing and an olympic gold medal, has just added a jab to his skillset, cong**** audley, we knew you could do it.

Yo Yo,
Here is my comment on last night's performance.
I was happy to be back out there after 14 months of inactivity (thanks Barry for the correction). I only got the offer to appear on the show with 4 weeks notice and I basically went from rehab straight to camp. During the 3 weeks in camp, we focused on bag work and pad work and I was grateful to get a week of sparring with Jason Gavern last week.
Buddy has improved my jab. I was happy I was able to bust him up with that punch. To get 5 rounds was a good thing and it is onwards and upwards from here. Buddy told me to stay with the jab and to go downstairs from the 3rd. It took a bit of time to find my angle, but the body shots were well placed to put him down. It is a shame the ref stopped it as I was denied a more conclusive ending (just like the Bonin fight).
The operation to my pec muscle felt good and after the 1st round I felt relaxed and composed. For the record the right hand he caught me with did not bother me at all, but I have to give him credit, he didn't come to lie down and gave it his best effort.
I will be looking to keep busy and shake off the ring rust. I've now added a solid jab to my arsenal, this will allow me hold, bust up and control opponents before I take them out with my combinations as my fitness and sharpness returns.
Thanks to the whole team for getting me ready and assisting behind the scenes. I'm focused and on the march again.
See you back in the ring real soon.
Bless
