Floyd may be the most talented guy in the game but when was the last time he was truly tested to definitively say he is deserving of #1? not since '01 buddy. The man went from Gatti to Baldomir to Judah to delahoya who had lost 3 of his previous 4 and still edged out Mayweather IMO. So how is #2 too high? even if he got beat by Marquez it would only drop him to #3 where Marquez was
U need to remember P4P rankings are HIGHLY subjective, JMM has never been as high as 3 on my list Buddy.
By the way do u think im a big Floyd fan or something? Im gonna watch the ODH vs Floyd fight again if i can bare the bore fest, i had Pretty boy just edging it

Not saying you're a floyd fan..just asking about your opinion that Pacman is overrated so i'm using the ring's official p4p rankings as a measuring stick because like u said..my list and yours would be different. The ring's most recent top 5 were Floyd, Pac, JMM, Calzaghe, Hopkins. Now controversial scoring aside, based on official records and level of opposition...Of those 5guys Pac is most deserving of the top spot IMO because he constantly fights guys that are blatantly BETTER than him in just about every aspect and still finds ways to win. Something noone on the ring's top 10 could ever dream of accomplishing..with the exception of Israel Vasquez maybe.

I see, fair play. But Because its the mythical p4p list u dont have to base it on Official records but rather on what U beleive to be right. Yeah Pac deserves respect for beating more skilled guys no doubt. Id say Cotto finds the way to win against opponents with advantages too tho on that p4p list. U know something i dont know why i dont like Pac, he's the type of fighter i normally like - a puncher, Gutsy, aggressive and a sound guy. Something just dont work for me tho

Personally, I'd like to see Pac vs. Gamboa right now. Pacman deserves a tune-up fight once in a while.

Perhaps learning how to box first might be a good idea, Yuriorkis?

That's cruel man, Pac would slaughter Gamboa if they fought today.

Pac vs. Gamboa would never get sanctioned.

Pac by first round KO...and Gamboa would never fight again.

                    smart of him.

It will be years until Pacquiao would actually get around to fighting a guy like Gamboa.

And considering Gamboa would probably be in the running with several other fighters, it makes sense to start calling him out now and have his name heard earliest

I highly doubt that his team is really interested in fighting Pacquiao. They know that Pacquiao is vacating that belt and moving to lightweight to fight David Diaz in July. They know that Pacquiao isn't going to stay at that weight to defend his title against Gamboa.
I still feel the same way, Gamboa never had any intentions of pursuing the Pacquiao fight. This is another example of how public relations attempts to alter perceptions...
