williams was not landing any hard shots and margarito was blocking and parrying most of it. williams only got the rounds because of activity. when margarito turned on the pressure in the second half of the fight williams was struggling for dear life. if margarito had started the fight with full pressure williams would have got knocked out.

Word I said the same thing. I watched that whole fight and Margarito couldn't do anything to Paul Williams. The only shot Marg has was in the end when Pitty Pat Pauly slowed down a bit. But Marg couldn't defend the jab and kept his hands down.

Margarito's, plain and basic common sense. His mistake was letting Williams dictate the fight from the beginning, instead of starting out at a higher pace, watch the fight you'll see Tony blocking most of those jabs with his gloves, a very small % landed on Tony, but it was his own fault for losing a fight he could of easily won.

Williams sure showed everyone how effective it is to hold onto your opponent like a ****ing squid after being bombed with the hard ass body and head shots Tony threw at him in the last 5 rounds. That guy was holding on for his life, all busted up and cut. Margarito couldn't close the deal that night but he tenderized that ass enough with power shots for Quintana to finish cooking.
