No, he'll be able to get down to it fine. I mean he weighed in 2lbs under for the mayweather fight right? and he was doing loads of strength work for that. A week back he was already at 150lb.

I don't disagree that he is doing well with what he has. My point is I do believe he can do a bit more with what he has.
I think the little fella has overachieved like crazy considering his t-rex arms and lack of athletic ability. Given the amount of punishment he takes in the ring and his alcoholic binging and gorging inbetween fights, he's already on the downslope physically. I'm not expecting much from him in the future and if I was him, I'd retire.

You may be right. Most of the points I have made are more what he could have done then perhaps what is capable this point of his career.

At the very least he got a really big money fight with Money and he should get at least one more good money fight. In 20 years having a legacy is great but having something on your daily menu besides potatoes has to rank up there to!

i think alot of you are jumping the gun here on some of these conclusions...
Dont expect an upset, he may halt training for a few days, but he will be ready, hatton yes does have tons of pride, but he will not put himself in a situation to throw away his career to a loss to lazcano because of not properly training.
I also read above that Jim you said he is on the downslope physically, but he went into his last fight with floyd in the best shape of his career.

Oscar does'nt want to fight him next year, he is retiring. Mayweather still does and I get your meaning based on that. With a different ref, I like Hattons chances if he is conditioned right.
