too bad the biased refereeing and Floyd's cheating had to taint this win...Floyd probably could have stopped Hatton in any round he wanted to without it. Probably the only way to stop Hatton while moving backwards was to frustrate him with elbow shots to the jaw, however.
i remember watching the fight it was on at 4am. I really thort ricky had a chance of winning the fight because im a mad hatton fan. deep down i thort floyd would win a ud though. i was surprised he noked hatton out because hatton has an amazing chin and had only being knocked down once by eamon magee who he got up and beat anyway. hatton sorta handed the fight to floyd. ye the ref didnt help with the holding etc but i think hatton tried beating the best p4p puncher by chasing floyd round the ring like a headless chicken. for him to beat floyd he had to scrap because no way could he have ever outboxed floyd. i am in no way taking anything away from floyd but i think a lot of factors helped floyd. i mean how the judges scored the first two rounds to floyd is an absolute joke.
You had never noticed this before? Are you joking?!
This was an on going thing.
OVER AND OVER AND OVER Floyd would back up into a corner, while ****** Hatton plodded forward and Floyd would throw that garbage check hook. It was a HAIL MARY because it did not do it's job until the 10 round. Ricky and his corner had no plan B.
Cotto would DESTROY Ricky Hatton in no less than 7 rounds.
I can not believe you did not notice that Floyd was baiting Ricky into the corner over and over again. Are you Billy Graham by any chance?
This post nearly made me spit my coffee i laughed so hard!!!! .... hehehe ..Billy Graham .... still laughin i am!!
Apart from the bit about Cotto destroying Hatton inside 7 the post was spot on, im a mad hatton fan but Floyd ****ed him up

The 8th was by far the most one-sided round IMO. Floyd just played with Hatton for those 3 minutes.
Round 8 was pretty brutal for Hatton, as were the finishing shots to end the fight in the 10th. But round 9 was more embarrasing and disheartening than hurtful.
