Nonito Donaire throws a mean left hook and he uses it almost like a jab at times.
Take a look at the shot that stopped Vic...also watch his follow up fight with Maldonado....his left hand may be the most underrated punch in the sport and Nonito may be the most underrated fighter in the sport!Comment

Yeah, if we mention Tye Fields we're gonna have a server breakdown and the site will go kaput. There's a reason why he's a southpaw so it would be more difficult to throw the left hook so as not to slaughter his opponents face.
Now, my real answer would be Cotto if he started training like Zelenoff to attain a 701 lb. left hook.Comment

cotto does some really hurtfull bodywork with his left.
although oscar being bigger, also does a lot of damage with his left hook. for me it's a tie.
and let's not forget tua has not officially retired and is aiming to fight the winner of arreola-witherspoon. as long as that man is in the game, i dont think anyone comes closeComment

Cotto arguably has the best left hook in boxing, his trademark left hook to the body is one the best and most effective punches in boxing.
Wladimir Klitschko also has a great left hook...If you look at my sig you will see the amazing quadruple left hook KO from Wlad, a 6,6 245 lb man throwing a quadruple left hook with that handspeed and power is downright scary.Last edited by WLAD OWNS; 05-12-2008, 09:23 PM.Comment

Are you listening to your self?floyd has the best left hook of the past 8 years. think about his left hook. oscar's left hook and cotto's left hook are hard left hooks, but floyd's left hooks can be counter left hooks like with hatton(check left hook), or powerful and fast left hooks like he did against chico. floyd throws his left hook perfect, meaning not sloppy and wild, can hook off of the jab, throw it from a lower position like he did with oscar in the 8th or 9th round i believe, or throw it fast as **** from thw southpaw stance like he did with corley and oscar in the 5th round. floyd takes this one, one of the greatest left hooks i have ever seen thrown, him and ray robinson, and oscar de la hoya and floyd patterson are my top 4.
Did you see how many times Floyd missed with that left hook against Hatton?
It took Floyd 10 rounds to get it right. You don't need me to make a video of how wild and sloppy Floyd's left was that night do you?
And besides, it was the same thing over and over and over again. Ricky prodding, Floyd backs up into a corner and swings. 10 rounds it took. That was not perfection, that was a hail Mary that finally worked against a very one dimmensional fighter who had nothing in his game.Comment
