Wladimir probably has the best left hook, unbelievably short for a guy his size. He just doesn't throw it enough.

Toss up between body shot Cotto and "My trainer said I hit 700 pounds in my hook" Zelenoff but I voted for Charlie.

floyd has the best left hook of the past 8 years. think about his left hook. oscar's left hook and cotto's left hook are hard left hooks, but floyd's left hooks can be counter left hooks like with hatton(check left hook), or powerful and fast left hooks like he did against chico. floyd throws his left hook perfect, meaning not sloppy and wild, can hook off of the jab, throw it from a lower position like he did with oscar in the 8th or 9th round i believe, or throw it fast as **** from thw southpaw stance like he did with corley and oscar in the 5th round. floyd takes this one, one of the greatest left hooks i have ever seen thrown, him and ray robinson, and oscar de la hoya and floyd patterson are my top 4.

That quadruple left hook he threw against Austin was a thing of beauty. I think David Tua still has a pretty mean left hook, if he'd quit fighting stiffs more people might see it.

Of course it's Tye Field's, but after him I would go with Cotto and his left hook to the body.

                    Miguel Cotto.

We all know what happens when he throws it to the body. The punch can straight up end fights. He throws it about as sharp and compact as anyone on this list. He can double it up, throw it as a lead or a counter with the same devastating effect, and he almost always puts it right on the mark.

This popular, well made highlight grabs many nice moments which showcase Miguel's killer left hook. Times to watch:

-1:11 (one of the most brutal bodyshot KO's you'll ever see)
-1:57 (well timed counter left hook which rocks Pinto)
-3:38 (left hook to the arm/shoulder!!! which forces Branco to quit)
-4:28 (beautiful counter double left hooks against a defensive minded fighter)
-5:22 (crushing left hook to the body against quintana...we all know about that)

After that I'd have to say:

                    Oscar
                    Wlad
                    Hatton
                    Mayweather

                    All of them being close.

Wladimir probably has the best left hook, unbelievably short for a guy his size. He just doesn't throw it enough.
It is excellent, but like you say, he doesn't throw it enough. Great technique, speed and power behind it though.
