Hopefully hes learnt his lesson and next fight he deploys the right tactics, then we'll see the real Carl Froch.

Spells all kinds of trouble.

If his jab improved, and/or he used it more, he'd be ready. As someone also mentioned, he might be as ready as HE'LL ever be.

      In response to both ^^^
IMO Froch just didnt want to **** around in there and wanted to take his frustrations out on his opponent, he didnt need to jab and box when he could just smash Rybacki with power shots at will.
For me Froch beats Inkin and Bute with power alone, as for Calzaghe it will never happen, Kessler well Froch would have to go back to his amatuer days and like you guys ^^^ say ... bring back the jab ... his chin has never really been tested and Kessler can **** .... thats the most exciting fight for him atm i reckon .... or maybe Miranda.

The thread question is almost becoming irrelevant given his age; if he is not ready no, he will never be.

The guy has got some power, but there are flaws in his game and no one of elite level has checked his chin. Mouth wise, he is in danger of becoming an English Mundine, telling everyone how good he is without backing it up, in Froch's case this seems more bad luck than cowardice though.

I would go along with the suggestion that he tries to get a fight with Bute, rather than Kessler and take it from there if he wins.

It is 99% likely that he will never get to fight Joe (according to 'Mr Reliable' Frank Warren an offer was on the table a few years back, but Froch back out) so he needs to start picking up the names at SMW.

Of course he's ready and it's about bloody time he steps up. He also needs to forget about fighting Calzaghe and fight some of the many other world class fighters in the division.

Froch could potentially, if he boxes, beat anyone out there. Maybe not Kessler though.

Yes Froch i think we can agree is ready for a title shot. Whether he would win is another matter altogether.

And froch shouldnt concentrate on JC anymore. It is like Witter concentrating on Hatton and look what happened to Witter.
JC never talks about Froch, so Froch should get the hint that JC aint interested in being his friend.

froch does slug way too much and watching him last nght the only thing that really stood out was his power but then again thats always been a stand out feature of his his.i can unerstand that he just wanted to vent his frustration last night but he only showed glimpses of his boxing ability, froch is a better boxer than he realizes and doesn't always utilise his skills, i dont buy into what the commentators were saying that he is the best SMW apart from joe.

miranda, tito, taylor, kessler and calzaghe are all above him.

imo miranda and kessler would be a bit of a problem with their right hand and frochs low defence - otherwise i would have thought that froch could give them both a run for their money.

tito is a big name opponent but hes looking for the $$$ and froch doesn't bring much to the table in that respect. but if tito wanted a fight in england then froch fits the bill and tito like froch puts too much emphasis on his power, imo froch would beat him.

taylor is someone else who might be a good fight for froch, hes coming off a couple of losses and might force him to engage his skills and jab which froch needs to do. the problem with fighting tito and taylor is thath he is not even on their radar at the minute and froch may need to go to america and take on somelike manfredo or lacey first.

Agreed. He is as ready as can be for a step up in class. I guess everyone of us would like to see him against a top opponent.

A Kessler fight wont happen for at least a year as he looks poised for WBA laurels. Froch might fight Taylor for the WBC strap, which is a fight in which he wont be favored.
