I think if Joe was American, he would of got the big fights years ago.

Do you guys really think Joe went looking for the easier fights? He was obviously not worth the risk to the elites, but if he was American they would of had to fight him at some point surely.

be honest now, do you believe there is anyone who could of made easy work of joe?

As a U.K. fighter, you can say that he feared getting ripped off in a foreign country, (and rightfully so) and therefore, chose not to fight here until it was the last elg of his career. So, the thread is completely ass wrong.
      Great post!

And for the record, he's one of my favorite fighters. I just wish he could have made some of these fights he wants NOW, have happened years ago.

I wouldn't. Some might, sure. But the fact remains that Pavlik, by the way, stepped up HUGE, EARLY in his career. And, to be honest, I see him, at this stage in his career, fighting either Hopkins OR Calzaghe. Calzaghe hadn't stepped up LIKE THAT, by the time Pavlik has. Still, I pick Calzaghe over Pavlik. Lol.

joe fought in the 168 pound division where all the runaways fight for his whole career.he stepped up to fight an old blown up middleweight hopkins and most people thought he lost that fight. how can people give joe credit when they think he lost that fight? you can't face the reality many people question that decision and the way he looked like such an amateur. as for the white and black thing look how people jumped on the pavlik bandwagon after he blasted out jermain taylor. it's not a race thing at all. in fact more people are looking for great white fighters to exploit in this sport but calzaghe aint great.
